Las Vegas Shooting
Our hearts go out to those families and friends of the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. Here are some thoughts and points that could possibly save your life.
What If –
Statistics show those who have a plan have a better chance of surviving over those who don’t. Those who have survived plane crashes, fires, earthquakes, etc. all have one thing in common. They had a mental pre-plan.
Plan Ahead
- Be aware of your surroundings. Know where exits are. Be aware of who is around you.
- Play “What If” where ever you are. “What if” a fire broke out, where would I run? “What if” an active shooter incident occurred, where is the best cover?
- Make “What if” a habit in daily life (planes, restaurants, nightclubs, theatres)
- Always be in a position to be able to see what is going on
- Less cell phone
Being actively aware could save your life. If you have children, you should play “What if” with them (without the graphic details). Be prepared. Don’t be a victim.
In the event of an active shooter, remember to, Run, Hide or Fight.
